Forum Tutorial

This page will teach you how to use the forums!

1 - Begin the process of logging in to WillardWire.

You may have seen a login prompt on the forum pages, but unfortunately this doesn't function... Hopefully we can fix that.

Instead of logging in through that page, scroll to the bottom of any page and find the "Log in" button.

You should be taken directly to this page where you can enter your information and log in.

After logging in you should be taken to this page. Don't worry, just open a new tab of WillardWire.

When you visit the new tab and scroll to the bottom you should notice that the previous "Log in" button now says "Log out" instead.

If the page still says "Log in" after following all of the steps, please refresh the page.

2 - Navigating to the forums.

You can reach the forum page in many ways.
Hovering or clicking on the "COMMUNITY" tab will bring you to the forums, or you can scroll down to the bottom of any page to find them.

You are now free to use the forums!

3 - Using the forums.

Now that you have logged in and found your way to the forums you can create your first topic!

You need to enter some information to create your first topic.
You need to include the topic title and your topic message. These can be anything you would like to discuss or post on WillardWire.

Just be sure that you read the Rules And Guidelines For User Generated Content before you post anything.

https://willardwire.com/forums/topic/posting-rules/

After you are done writing your topic title and message you can click the "Submit" button.

If your topic was posted successfully you should be redirected to it where you will see some information.
1. Your name.
2. Your display picture.
3. Your forum title/rank.
4. Your topic message.

You can reply indirectly to a post by typing your reply message in the box below the topic and all other messages.

After you are done writing your message you can click the "Submit" button.

If your reply was posted successfully you should be redirected to it where you can view it and make edits if you wish.

After you click the "Edit" button you should be redirected to a page where you can edit your reply.

On this page you can edit your message and include some optional information about your edit if you wish.
After editing your message you can check or uncheck an optional box and enter a reason for your edit if you would like to.

After you are done editing your message you can click the "Submit" button.

If your edit was made successfully you should be redirected to where you can view it.

If you chose to keep a log and included a reason for your edit everyone can view it below your new message.

You have 5 minutes to edit your messages and topics after you post them.

You can find when you posted something in the top left corner of your post.

If you choose to edit your topic you will be redirected to a similar editing page with a few more options.

On this page you can change the topic title and your message as well as which forum you would like it to be placed in if you chose the incorrect one.
You also have the choice to include the optional information here as well.

After you are done editing your topic you can click the "Submit" button.

If your edit was made successfully you should be redirected to where you can view it.

If you included the optional information it will be visible to everyone and your edits should be live.

Remember that you only have 5 minutes to complete any edits.

After the 5 minutes you have to edit expire the "Edit" button will disappear and you will be unable to make any changes.

After the 5 minutes you had to edit expire you will not be able to make any edits even if you have the editing page open and submit a new edit afterwards.

If you really need to change something, please message [email protected]

This page will be updated...
